Let Private Dancer's 6.42 post put a line under this sorry thread. The cunt has left the stadium. Good riddance.

The 'this really hurts me, but' line has always been very cringe.

i am surprised that you would think that, because under Sam we rarely had a battling performance that stuck in the mind.

Had Man City and Arsenal been a tad more clinical in front of goal, I think we'd be a little less Team Bilic than we appear to be now.

In other words, we might have a bit more attacking flair, but defensively it's BAU.

He doesn't deserve credit for anything. He could only just about get us up, then bored the pants off of everyone for 3 years, gifted the bigger sides 3 points and spunked millions in the transfer market. He's a cunt.

I don't even like children called Sam anymore. I don't even like 'Sam' on my screen. Let's stop talking about that thing, we look like our club again now. People see west ham as west ham!

We look more organised defensively, end of.

Were it not for awful first halves against Leicester and Bournemouth where we started the games at 0-2 down, and an individual error against Norwich , we might be having a very good season.

Re: Does Sam deserve credit for our battling away performances ?
Seriously. We couldn't defend a lead for shit last season. The response to going ahead at home or away was some of the worst tactical play since Curbishly... Defend deeper and deeper until the opposition finally broke us down.

Do you really think that 1 nil up at the Emirates we would have continued to press and attack last season?? No chance. we would have defended deep, tried to see it out and lost 3-1.. fact

BTW we still can't defend for shit, but we are getting better. I have faith in Slav.....

Re: Does Sam deserve credit for our battling away performances ?
The back 5 were his were they? They are currently the problem. When they don't turn up we lose.

I don't really care about him anymore as every game we go into now we think we can win. This is as it should be. Under him, we played to lose (including the 3 this season) and that is unforgiveable.

This obsession with Sam who had no affection for our club is obscene .
Particularly when the biggest and worst abuser of West Ham is honoured with free seats whenever he wants them and is the life president of our club.
And most don't even voice their disgust.some are complacent and others are obviously happy with it as it is.

Re: Does Sam deserve credit for our battling away performances ?
As a neutral about BFS turning up I reckon that he fulfilled his brief to promote and re- establish us back in the Premiership. To me though, as a person who never took much notice of what he said or gestured, the way he let us drift in the second half of last season smacked of unprofessionalism. It became evident after the WBA cup debacle that BFS would go and that apart from us staying up he really did not care. Looking at his record with us in the Premiership he does not stand out because we had the same lack of points overall from the top six and the same negative goal difference as his managerial predecessors.

In short he was nothing special. As for Bilic I don't think that we would have got nine points away from home under BFS but we would probably had more than four points from four home games. The thing is though that as fans we are more optimistic right now and we have so many opinions, because of recruitment, about what our best starting eleven is.
